MANILA — Upcoming regional series "Secret Ingredient" starring Julia Barretto, South Korean actor Lee Sang-heon, Indonesian celebrity Nicholas Saputra, will begin streaming for free on VIU on April 30.
The cross cultural dramedy was created by show runner Corinna Vista. The series, meanwhile, was written by Baek Dong-Hoon and directed by Cho Young-Gwang.
“Secret Ingredient” will follow the story of Maya (Barretto) and Ha Joon (Lee), alongside Saputra, who portrays a chef, as they navigate life's journey—seeking love, pursuing ambitions, and uncovering culinary excellence.
The two-minute preview sees Maya (Barretto), aspiring to join a cooking competition. Her boss, famous chef Arif (Saputra), however, argues Maya is not yet ready for the contest.

To raise money for the competition, Maya gets help from Ha Joon, who is yet to reveal his true identity.
