Horror fans and aspiring storytellers now have the chance to bring their chilling tales to life as ABS-CBN and CreaZion Studios officially open submissions for the upcoming six-episode iWant horror anthology, True Horror Encounters.  Filipinos’ fascination with horror stories continues to thrive in the digital age, with supernatural tales finding a massive audience across social media platforms. Tapping into this enduring love for all things eerie and mysterious, submissions for True Horror Encounters, a new horror anthology inspired by the viral “Manila Encounters” trend on X (formerly Twitter), are now officially open. “Manila Encounters” first captured the attention of netizens through eerie and supernatural stories set around the city before eventually making their way to Wattpad, where readers became hooked on tales inspired by Filipino myths, legends, and unexplained encounters. Now, aspiring writers and horror enthusiasts are being invited to share their own frightening stories for a chance to see them adapted on screen. The anthology is currently searching for original horror stories inspired by ghost encounters, urban legends, local myths, and even real historical events. Submissions may draw inspiration from Filipino supernatural creatures such as Aswangs, Kapres, and Diwatas, or explore chilling narratives connected to real-life events, including Martial Law, World War stories, typhoons, and other haunting moments in Philippine history. According to the mechanics, all submitted stories will first undergo an internal review. Entries that make up the shortlist will then be contacted by ABS-CBN before being posted on the <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/">ABS-CBN website</a> for public voting. The final stories will be chosen through a combination of audience votes and internal evaluation.  Interested participants may submit their entries through this <a href="https://abscbnonedomain.mega.page/true-supernatural-encounters-submission-form">True Horror Encounters official submission form.  </a>Each submission must include the sender’s complete name, birthday, valid contact number, and email address to ensure shortlisted participants can be contacted properly. Once the winning stories are selected, they will be adapted for True Horror Encounters on iWant. Each episode will run for 40 minutes and will showcase the visions of acclaimed horror filmmakers.
