This is evident in the new PRC’s Licensure Examination & Registration Information System (LERIS) website, where a huge chunk of Facebook's sign up page layout, from the placement of the organization’s logo, the input boxes, and even the color scheme, can be seen.

The LERIS has been operation for some years but it was only recently that the Facebook-like design of the LERIS v2 was noticed by a tech website, as well by some Twitter users.

ABS-CBN News reached out to the Information and Communications Technology Division of the PRC. Its officer-in-charge, Marites Diosanta, stressed in a phone interview that there was no intention to copy the design of Facebook.

She also explained that site was still in its "staging" phase, a technical term in web development wherein the site's components are still being tested for a number of things, such as security, stability, and user-friendliness.

Another visit to the site indeed revealed some changes. But the layout is still starkly similar to Facebook, only this time, it's yellow and with an additional video in a continuous loop.
