MANILA - Malacañang on Monday dismissed as “hearsay” and “kwentong kutsero” a report by news organization VERA Files which said that President Rodrigo Duterte and his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte failed to disclose as much as P100 million in joint deposits and investments, based on bank documents from 2006 to 2014.

VERA Files reported that Duterte and Sara had joint deposits and investments at the BPI that ranged from P58.83 million to as much as P106.58 million from 2006 to 2014.

VERA Files said the data came from the bank documents provided by Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, who supposedly sourced them from the Anti-Money Laundering Council and submitted to the Senate on Oct. 3 after delivering a privilege speech saying the Chief Executive had more than P2.2 billion in questionable bank transactions.
