MANILA - President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday said he would step down if soldiers told him directly rather than stage a mutiny.Duterte said there was no need for a coup d&#x27;etat as he is willing to resign.&quot;Kahit idoble mo ang sweldo eh. Magpapalakas ako? For what? Takot ako na i-coup d’etat ako ng police pati military? If you want me out, tell me,&quot; he said.&quot;Sabi ko, kung mag-tindig kayo sa Army, Navy, Air Force, pati si Albayalde, if you stand up together now, I am resigning. Huwag na kayong mag-coup d&#x27;etat-coup d&#x27;etat. Sayangin lang ninyo yung pagod ninyo. Ayaw ninyo ako? Sabihin ninyo bababa ako.&quot;Duterte said he does not want to see government troops fighting each other.&quot;Kung ayaw ninyo, magbaba ako. Bakit kayo magbarilan?
