MANILA — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday denied reports that the more than P300 million in cash seized during two Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO)-related operations have been missing.

PNP spokesperson Brigadier General Jean Fajardo said the over P305 million — P187.8 million from Clark Sun Valley Hub Corporation in Pampanga and P117.1 million from Xinchuang Network Technology, Inc. (formerly known as Hong Tai) in Las Piñas — remain intact in a safekeeping room inside Camp Crame.

A video was shown to the media in a briefing.

“May mga lumalabas po na misinformation and disinformation to put some cloud of doubt dito po sa latest na opertion po ng ACG at PNP-NCRPO doon po sa Century Peak Tower at binuksan po ‘yong previous case po natin, involving mga POGOs po,” Fajardo said.

Fajardo was referring to the raid by the Anti-Cybercrime Group and National Capital Region Police Office at the facility of Vertex Technology at Century Peak Tower in Manila on October 29 for its alleged involvement in cryptocurrency and romance scams.

Fajardo said the PNP is ready to present the money and follow any order of the court.

“There’s no truth sa mga lumalabas na malicious reports na nawawala po ‘yong mga pera,” she said. “Intact po ‘yong pera.”
