MANILA (UPDATED) — Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 remains hoisted over parts of Luzon late Monday as Typhoon Aghon moves away from the country.

In its 11 p.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said Aghon was last located 240 kilometers east northeast of Casiguran, Aurora, packing maximum sustained winds of 140 kilometers per hour near the center, with gusts of up to 170 kph.
