MANILA — The spokesperson of the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) said Sunday they do not correlate the recent emergency room capacity issues to politics, noting instead that its cause is the oxygen shortage.

This, after the PGH's official was asked if the capacity issues are due to patients arriving because politicians may have referred them to the public hospital.

Mga elective admission o mga scheduled na surgery ['yung mga 'yun]," PGH Spokesperson Dr. Jonas Del Rosario said in an interview with TeleRadyo Serbisyo's Story Outlook.

Del Rosario also said that the PGH may announce once again in 2-3 days regarding an update on the hospital's emergency room capacity as they are currently dealing with the issue.
