MANILA -- In an interview with TJ Manotoc and Migs Bustos of ABS-CBN News, Oklahoma City big man Steven Adams opened up on a variety of subjects, including his MVP point guard, Russell Westbrook, and their new acquisition, Paul George.

Adams is in town for the NBA 3X Philippines and has already seen the Filipinos' love for basketball up close and personal.

"It's been amazing," Adams said of his visit. "The weather is really harsh, but other than that, it's just beautiful. The people, their passion here for basketball, you don't see that everywhere, not even in the U.S."

"They really, really love basketball here," he added.

Adams has been an integral part of the Thunder for the past two years, but attention to their team will skyrocket next season following the addition of George.

"I still have to go back and meet him," Adams said of George. "But the front office, they did a really good job of putting together the players that are the best fit for us."

"I'm just excited to go back and meet him, but yeah, it should be a good season," he said.

Adams also offered some advice to Filipino players – including Kobe Paras – who are looking to make it to the NBA.

"It just comes down to committing yourself to the game, where everything else shouldn't affect you," he explained. "It's just straight basketball. It's just sacrificing pretty much all the time to basketball."
