MANILA -- Pepe Herrera's character, Benny, one of the most loved characters on "Ang Probinsyano," died on Monday night. And many netizens are upset.

Although he was just Coco Martin's sidekick, Benny played a big role in some of the most crucial missions they had. He reminded everyone of iconic sidekicks like Babalu and Richie D'Horsie.

But more than just a sidekick, Benny was a good friend to Cardo, whom he shielded against bullets until his last breath.
