Tail end of cold front to dampen Mindanao

The tail end of a cold front will stir occasionally heavy rains over the whole Mindanao, the state weather bureau said Sunday.

The weather disturbance may trigger floods and landslides in the south, said PAGASA weather forecaster Ariel Rojas.

Meanwhile, the amihan or cold air blowing from the northeast will prevail over Visayas, Cagayan Valley, Cordilleras, Bicol regions, and Aurora and Quezon provinces, he told radio DZMM.

These areas may experience cloudy skies with light rains, he said.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may expect generally fair weather, Rojas added.

The amihan will affect the country until February, he said.

PAGASA has not monitored any potential storm in the next 3 to 5 days.
