'I think so. Bret doesn’t tell me too much about the reasons or anything, but I know Andi has been through a lot of stuff right now. It’s really a complicated time for her so I think they're just friends for now,” he shared with Push.com.ph and The Buzz.

He further relayed, “They just saw each other in two months and I think Andi is just going through a rough time so he is giving her space.”

Andi is allegedly back with former flame Jake Ejercito. When asked if Bret is hurting over the matter, James commented, 'Siguro… he’s my best friend so I know if he’s feeling good or feeling bad even he doesn’t say it.' But James believes that Andi never intended to hurt his friend. 'I mean I know Andi, she’s such an amazing girl. She’s so kind. I know she never intend to hurt anyone.'

To cheer up Bret, James said that they took a vacation in Cebu recently 'I take him to the beach kaya nag-Cebu kami. Actually he went to Dumaguete (Bret’s hometown) he said, ‘I need to clear my mind.’ And I said, ‘Meet me in Cebu.’ So we had a short vacation. We just stayed in the beach, we just relaxed.'

On his advice for Bret, James shared, 'Actually siya ‘yung naga-advise sa akin so he’s the one who gives me advice a lot [like] don’t rush it, don’t look for it, it's supposed to find you, something like that, because I guess I used to be the type that would looked for it but you're not supposed to do that. You just supposed to let it find you.”
