Vice Ganda drops plan to confront basher who wished Hashtags member Jon Lucas dead

Vice Ganda stood firm on his replies to a basher who said that Hashtags member Jon Lucas should’ve passed away instead of Franco Hernandez.

Vice had lashed out on the netizen and said, “Sa gitna ng pagluluksa namin ngayon di ko papayagang may lumapastangan sa mga taong malapit sakin. Napakawalang hiya mong hayup ka!”

But now that his emotions have calmed down, Vice was able to explain just what was going through his head during that moment.

“At that moment, I was just being myself. At that morning, I was mourning, I was weeping, I was devastated because of my good friend's death. That was the exact feeling na naramdaman ko,” he explained during his solo digital conference for his upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival entry Gandarrapiddo: The Revenger Squad together with Daniel Padilla and Pia Wurtzbach.

Vice reiterated that he felt violated by the netizen’s unbecoming comment.

“Feeling ko nabastos niya yung kaibigan ko, feeling ko OA, feeling ko na-violate niya yung kaibigan ko. Right then and there, hindi ako nag-isip, I have to be a friend to my friend. Itataas ko 'tong kaibigan ko, kailangan kong ipagtanggol itong kaibigan ko,” he said.

Hashtags member Franco Hernandez accidentally drowned while on vacation in Davao Occidental.

Instead of being criticized for being blunt on social media, Vice received support after his tweets lambasting the basher were posted.

“Nauunawaan naman ng mga tao. Wala akong nabasa na binash ako at hindi nila naunawaan ang damdamin ko noong oras na 'yon. Feeling ko, nasa tamang posisyon ako,” he said.

He added, “At that point, sabi ko, itu-tweet ko kung ano ang gusto kong i-tweet. Kung ano ang kahinatnan nito, I will be responsible. Kung ma-bash, e, di ma-bash, pero yun ang gusto kong gawin noong panahon na 'yon.”

As soon as his tweet circulated, netizens took the initiative to “hunt” down the basher and divulge her whereabouts. But for Vice, the incident is way behind him now.

But what if he meets the basher?

“Tatampalin ko siya! Charot. Hindi, humupa naman na ang galit ko. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang sasabihin ko sa kanya, pero for sure pagsasabihan ko siya,” he said.

According to Vice, the basher has probably learned her lesson now.

“Kung mayroon pa rin siyang tweets na hindi maganda, sabi ko, front lang ni girl 'yan, yung tapang-tapangan. Pero for sure, nangangatog na ang tumbong niyan. Nag-private ka na nga ng account, ibig sabihin, takot na takot ka na, hindi mo na kaya. Natuto na 'yan,” he ended.
