Chito Miranda and Neri Naig give a sneak peek of their living room

Last April 4, Parokya ni Edgar singer Chito Miranda and his wife Neri both shared their thoughts on their living room. Chito likened his wife’s taste in interior design to how he composes songs.

Sobrang trip ko yung pagkaka-ayos ng asawa ko sa bahay namin! For me, it's simple and elegant, but still very homey, comfortable, and cozy. Some may not like it, but honestly, who cares? She likes it this way and I love it...and that is what's important. Parang sa pag-gawa ko ng kanta. Some songwriters write songs to reach a wide audience, while I selfishly do it for me and my bandmates, simply because I want to create something which I honestly think is beautiful (or funny), no matter how simple (or stupid) my songs are...kasi at the end of the day, kanta ko yun, and my sincerity to myself is what makes them truly mine. That's why I'm still here, and that's why I still enjoy doing what I do even after doing it for more than 2 decades. Mas simple kasi ang buhay when you do things for yourself, and I believe that the key to happiness is being your most authentic self, and not caring what other people think. Tulad ng sinabi ni Neri, trip nya lang talaga mag-ayos ng bahay, at ginagawa nya 'to dahil nage-enjoy sya, and we should all remember to do it for fun, and to please ourselves, at hindi dahil gusto natin magpa-impress sa mga tao. Well said.

Eto naman ang living area namin, napaka simple lang talaga. Plain lang kung tutuusin, tinatry ko pa rin ang minimalist pero probinsya style pa rin kahit papaano. Gusto ko rin ayusin ang living area namin. Siguro malaking painting sa wall? O kaya collage ng black and white pictures naming pamilya? A huge clock na ala farmhouse? Di ko pa alam eh. Turn table yung nasa wall. Wine barrel naman yung nasa gilid para kung gustong mag wine ng mga bisita, ayan may stock kami, hehe! Kalimitan ay mga bigay lang sa amin kase di naman kami nagwa-wine. Sa window naman, makikita yung collection ko ng succulents. Para may view naman kahit papaano kase wall lang ang makikita sa bintana. Frustrated interior designer ako, aminado ako, haha! Marami kase akong time sa bahay kaya nagpapaka productive ako. Itong pag-aayos ng bahay, trip ko lang talaga at ginagawa ko dahil nage-enjoy ako, and we should remember to do it for fun and to please ourselves, at hindi dahil gusto natin magpa-impress sa mga tao, kaya hinahayaan ako ng asawa ko kahit kayang kaya naman nya magbayad ng interior designer. Simple lang trip naming mag asawa. Siguro yun din ang isa sa mga nagustuhan ng asawa ko sa akin. Yung pagiging simple. Marami akong pinafollow na kababaihan, and I admire them. At kung may ginagawa sila sa bahay or sa buhay na nagagandahan ako, tinatry kong pag aralan kung paano nila ginagawa yun. Yung frustrations ko sa life, ang ginagawa ko, iniimprove ang sarili ko, at tinatry kong i-spread yung good vibes at positivity. Mas madaling maging mabait lalo na kung yun talaga ang laman ng puso mo. Hehe! Ang bahay. Bow.

Neri, on the other hand, admitted in her post that she is a frustrated interior designer and likes the minimalist look.

She wrote:

The couple have a son named Alfonso and will be celebrating their fourth anniversary this year.
