Early this month, Diego Loyzaga unleashed a string of scathing attacks aimed at his father Cesar Montano, calling him a liar and a hypocrite.

It remains unclear what prompted the young actor to suddenly lash out, but he has since deleted his rants from his Instagram account after explaining that he was forced to do so.

Montano has already responded through print-media columnists, saying that he still loves his son but expressed his disappointment over how their personal spat was revealed to the online public.

It's just one of the latest familial feuds that had showbiz fans gripped, even if details about it are scarce. Most of Loyzaga's fans were quick to rally behind him, while others chose a calmer route and tried to understand both parties.

But no matter how things shake out between Loyzaga and Montano, one thing's clear: Loyzaga will always have the support of his rumored girlfriend and on-screen partner, Sofia Andres.

In an interview with reporters on Tuesday, Andres said: "Lagi ko pong sinasabi sa kanya na nandito lang ako for him kahit ano man po 'yung pinagdadaanan niya ngayon na alam kong hindi madali."

"If ever na kailangan niya ng kausap, I’m here to listen. Ganoon po lang 'yung suporta na puwede kong maibigay sa kanya for now."

Andres added that she can attest to the validity of Loyzaga's drug test, which the actor posted online to show his father that he was negative for illegal drugs. Loyzaga has repeatedly claimed that Montano has accused him of being a drug addict.

"Nagsabay po kami ni Diego sa drug test, honestly. Kaya ko pong patunayan na negative," she said.

Loyzaga and Andres have long been rumored to be a couple, but both have maintained that they are just good friends.

The pair recently starred in an episode of "Maalaala Mo Kaya," where they played the older versions of lovestruck teens.
