MANILA -- The heated exchange of tweets between actors Daniel Padilla and Paul Salas has escalated into a Twitter war between their fans.

But for the "La Luna Sangre" star, it all comes down to one thing-- respect.

On Monday night, during the launch of District 8, a restaurant co-owned by Padilla, Vice Ganda and James Yap, the 22-year-old actor said he felt disrespected by Salas, who is three years younger than he.

The exchange of tweets began when Salas allegedly shared a video of Padilla's scuffle with JC de Vera during the Star Magic All Star basketball game and wrote: "Maglaro ka na lang ng lazer [sic] tag kung ayaw mong masaktan sa basketball."

Padilla clarified that he is not mad at Salas, only offended by what Salas did.

He is also asking his loyal fans, who have been bashing Salas, to stop and "move on."

When asked if he still wants to face Salas on the hard court, he quipped: "Tingnan natin kung magkikita kami sa court."
