MANILA - A new show on President Rodrigo Duterte’s citizens’ complaint hotline and center will premiere on state run PTV this month, Malacañang said Wednesday.

“Digong 8888 Hotline,” hosted by Presidential Spokesman and Chief Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo, will air every Thursday starting July 11 from 2 to 3 p.m.

Malacañang said the show will tackle government queries from the public through social media and field interviews. It will also feature case studies from the Presidential Complaint Center.

“This 1-hour program aims to bridge the gap between government agencies and the people through segments that will directly address the ordinary Filipino’s concerns on various government services,” Panelo said.

President Duterte may also make an appearance on the show to personally answer questions from the public.

Duterte institutionalized the President's Hotline or 8888 in 2016 through Executive Order no. 6. It is dedicated to complaints against fixers, scalawag officials and poor government service.
