MANILA -- Warm and humid conditions are expected to prevail in most parts of the country in the coming week, according to the state weather bureau on Sunday.

Based on PAGASA's 4 p.m. update, the country will feel the effects of the Easterlies or the hot winds from the Pacific.

This might bring possible thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening.

Intense afternoon thunderstorms are expected over most of Mindanao Monday and Tuesday and over Northern and  Central Luzon Monday through Saturday

In Metro Manila, hot and sunny weather through midday with possible thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening are expected every day of the week.

The bureau added that a shear line may affect Northern Luzon Wednesday through Saturday.

Meanwhile, weather forecaster Benison Estareja said they are monitoring cloud clusters outside the Philippine area or responsibility.

"Base sa ating latest satellite animation, merong tayong minomonior na cloud clusters sa malayong parte ng ating kalupaan," he said.

"Ito po ay intertropical conversion zone. Hindi pa rin nating maiaalis na merong tsansa na may mabubuong low pressure area sa linggong ito."
