“Pakiusap ho sa mga kababayan natin - number 1, pag nadisgrasya po kayo sa daan - wala ho kayong makukuha na any fee from the rider dahil hindi kayo insured. Ang insurance lang ho ng mga rider is on third-party liability. Ngayon ‘pag kayo naman po ay lehitimong pasahero po, meron hong insurance na makukuha from the TNC which is I think from P200,000 to P300,000 po,” said Guadiz.

“They would probably say that we cannot control them but to the mind of the TWG they should equally liable po, so for the punitive sanction po of P5,000 - our belief is that TNC should be equally liable also. So kung hindi makabayad si rider, it should be the TNC who should be liable for that,” Guadiz said.

“Yes, that’s true. Hindi lang naman po sa iisang TNC yan, we found out that this is a common issue for several TNCs na nabigyan namin ng accreditation. Ang issue here is hindi ho nila nahuhugasan yung helmet everyday or until they arrived at a certain time passengers na dapat sana it’s being sanitized,” Guadiz explained.

“We are now calling a meeting perhaps not only to require them - but this time probably, hihigpitan na namin - there will be a sanction against them and that would mean penalty in terms of fine. It can go up P5,000 to P20,000 po, kasi minor offense lang yun,” Guadiz added.

“We found out in our inventory later on that there was a TNC company that exceeded. Normally dapat 15,000 each lang yan. Based on the admission of one company in the senate hearing, they have at least 27, 000,” Guadiz said.
