Marcos Jr. led the distribution of P10,000 financial assistance to ten select beneficiaries from Maguindanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte, and Lanao del Sur in a program held at the DAS Sports Complex in Talisawa, Datu Abdullah Sangki, Maguindanao del Sur.

“Alam naman natin na ang BARMM ay nasa state of calamity dahil sa El Niño. Nais kong ipaalam sa inyo na nagsisikap ang inyong pamahalaan upang mabawasan ang tindi ng epekto nito sa ating pang araw-araw na buhay,” Marcos Jr said in his speech.

“Sa lahat ng ahensya ng pamahalaan na [naririto] — mula sa mga pinuno hanggang sa bawat empleyado — siguruhin po namin na [makararating] ang lahat ng tulong, programa, [at] oportunidad sa ating mga mamamayan, lalo na sa pinakamalayong lugar tulad ng Basilan, tulad ng Tawi-Tawi,” he continued.

Marcos Jr said the government would implement various development projects under the Improving Growth Corridors in Mindanao Road Sector Project, which he says would help uplift the lives of those in Tawi-Tawi.

“Sa proyektong ito, tatlong tulay ang gagawin natin dito sa Tawi-Tawi na siyang tutulong -- ito'y makakatulong sa inyong mga pangangailangan sa transportasyon at pagpaganda ng inyong hanapbuhay, pati na rin ang pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan at kaayusan dito sa inyong lugar,” he said.

“Ang pakay ko po sa pag-iikot ko sa iba’t ibang bayan at lalawigan sa bansa ay: Una, upang personal kong makita kung ang tulong ng gobyerno ay natatanggap ng mga tao at kung ito ba ay nakatutulong sa mga pangangailangan ng mga nahihirapan dahil sa tagtuyot,” he said.

“Pangalawa, andito rin po ako upang makausap kayo, nang maunawaan natin ang inyong sitwasyon, at makahanap tayo nang nararapat na solusyon sa inyong mga hinaharap na suliranin. Dahil sa pagtutulungan at pakikiisa ng bawat isa sa inyo ay patuloy na uusbong ang kapayapaan at lalong uunlad ang ating bayan.”
