It’s a bold statement, but one she lives up to with every appearance. From staying up late watching MYX Mo reruns with her siblings to now being one of MYX’s newest VJs, Kring’s rise is rooted in a genuine love for music, a strong sense of self, and the grit to chase something bigger.

Before stepping in front of the camera, Kring worked in communications for a non-profit. But even then, she felt a pull toward something more dynamic. “There’s always something in me that thinks I should be doing something more. I should be experiencing more fun things,” she shared.

That push led her to take a chance on the MYX VJ Search. Armed with experience from hosting campus events and community shows, Kring brought both polish and personality to her audition.

“I have the necessary skills… I know how to interact, how to interview. And I love music,” she said confidently.

It wasn’t just talent that got her to where she is now—it was preparation. She brushed up on old MYX episodes, studied different hosting styles, and immersed herself in the local music scene. That attention to detail paid off. Now that she’s part of the MYX family, Kring is embracing the job with open arms and wide eyes.

“I get paid to attend concerts, to enjoy, to do what I love,” she beamed. What more could she ask for, right? But she also knows there’s so much more to the job than showing up with a mic.
